Yeah, I know, it’s a lot of letters. A lot.
So many that I almost omitted some of them. But, then I realized that they are my bona fides as your Coach. Not because you’ll be impressed by them, but because they work together to tell the story of my journey.
I decided that I wanted to be a surgeon at the age of 5. So, I went on to become one, by way of an anthropology degree from Yale and two graduate degrees from Tulane. And then I realized (very quickly!) that I did NOT want to be a surgeon. Not my Work. Not my People. Important work, yes; but not mine.
What came next has been a scary, exciting, disorienting journey to identify my actual Work, my actual People. So far, the journey has taken me to countless hospital board rooms across the U.S., a hippie commune in Spain, a stage in front of 650 people, a horse ranch in Arizona, a yoga studio in DC, and a circus tent. And the answers to the questions have included Keynote speaker, AcroYoga instructor, Equine-facilitated experiential learning facilitator, Corporate VP, aerialist, blogger and Coach. They’ve been a mix of side gigs and main hustles, many of them overlapping. And they have all come from listening for and doing my best to follow the voice of my own calling.
Full disclosure, my explorations are still unfolding, and my navigation skills are constantly being challenged and honed. The process isn’t always graceful or particularly dignified, but it is always gorgeously fruitful.
In short, I have been through the Valley of Uncertainty between who and what I’ve been and who and what I am becoming. Multiple times.
And I made it through. Every time.
And I’d be honored to walk beside you as you navigate your Valley(s). Let’s talk.
